Our social worker informed us that the home study is pretty much done, save some minor changes that our agency asked for. Our work is almost done on the dossier. Now, all we need to do is send in the home study to USCIS for approval and hopefully that won't take too long. I just can't wait to get the "wait" started!
My favorite part about filling out the forms is filling out the mother signatures. For us, it is easy to get lost in the process of the paperwork and lose the excitement of what we are actually doing. However, when I pay attention and see things like "mother's signature," I get happy chills going up and down my spine. I'm going to be a mommy! It's just so exciting.
This week was the sanctity of life weekend at our church. Tim and I are really involved with the local pregnancy resource center, and we kick-started the baby bottle campaign this weekend. I sometimes wonder if God gave us a heart for the center not only because of our call to adopt, but because He may be calling us to adopt one of those babies that a mother gives up for adoption when we are ready to adopt our second child. But I'm getting ahead of myself. It's something neat to think about though!
