Day 3
This morning, we realized that our cell phones do not always catch up with time zones. We woke up at 5am by mistake. It was too dark, and we didn’t feel rested. So we double-checked our clock and saw that it was 5am. Argghh…we went back to sleep and slept in until room service woke us up. Breakfast in bed…there is nothing like it!
We wandered around the boat and went to the Vista Lounge for dance class with Jorge. He taught us the meringue. Although it was hard to pick up, we mostly got it and had a lot of fun shaking our hips and twisting and turning. It got us excited about learning more dances.
The whole morning, both of us felt slightly drunk even though we didn’t have any alcohol to drink. The boat was moving slightly every once in awhile, and we hadn’t quiet gotten our sea legs yet. I ended up getting a migraine because of the stress of it. Luckily, it wasn’t too bad.
At lunch, we sat with two different couples. And guess what? One of them was a teacher and another person was a retired administrator. We just can’t escape all the other educators. I wonder if we will sit with other teachers for the next meal?
We had a lazy afternoon watching tv and napping in our room. It felt so good to be free to do whatever we wanted and not be bogged down by responsibilities.
Later in the afternoon, we went to the fitness center. Tim worked out on the treadmill, and I took a yoga class. I loved my class. It really worked my muscles, and I felt so relaxed after it. In fact, my migraine was mostly gone after it as well. I can’t wait until my next class!
After working out, we went back to our room to get ready for formal night. Tim looked so hot in his suit, and I was excited to wear my new dress. We went out the atrium and got formal pictures taken of us. I can’t wait to see what they look like! We haven’t had any professional pictures taken of us since we were married, so I’m hoping they turn out, so that we can get a couple.
At dinner, I had crayfish for the first time in my life. It actually was very good! I felt bad for the little crayfish that had to give his life to be a garnish on my dish. I refused to let his life go to waste, so I ate a bit of the meat in his
After dinner, we sat in the Explorers Lounge and listened to the band and then enjoyed laughing at the folks who sang karaoke for Princess Popstar. They were almost all HORRIBLE except for the guy that sounded like Johnny Cash! However, we got to laugh a lot and really enjoyed ourselves.
We came back and fell asleep almost instantly after a really fun day.
