Our Homestudy Agency Rules!

Kuddos to our homestudy agency. We notified them this week that we needed the addendum to our homestudy, and they will be finished with it and will have it notarized today! All we will have to do is send it to get apostilled, and we will have it down to Colombia in no time.

Our Timeline

April 22, 2007 - We met with CHI at Panera for a second time to discuss adoption more seriously.
August 24, 2007 - We submit our application to CHI
February 14, 2008 - Our homestudy is finished!
February 19, 2008 - We sent our 1600A update and homestudy to USCIS
April 17, 2008 - We receive our 171H
April 19, 2008 - We sent our paperwork to Harrisburg to get apostilled AND finished our photo pages for our child and ICBS
April 24, 2008 - We received our apostilled paperwork from Harrisburg
April 25, 2008 - We sent our dossier to CHI. YAY!
April 30, 2008 - CHI sent our dossier to Colombia
May 12, 2008 - On Tim's birthday, we met with the social worker and decided to change our homestudy to say that we are open to a sibling group of 4 and under.
July 28, 2008 - We are told that ICBF needs more information for our application. We notify our homestudy agency right away.
October 18, 2008 - Colombia approves our application to adopt. We are placed on the 0-2 baby list but told our agency will keep us in mind for siblings 0-4.
December 7, 2010 - Referral!
February 5, 2011 - We traveled to Colombia
February 6, 2011 - Flight to Monteria
February 7, 2011 - Our GOTCHA day
February 25, 2011 - Sentencia (Rosa said Momma for the first time on this day)
March 2, 2011 - Birth Certificates
March 3, 2011 - Travel to Bogota
March 9, 2011 - We traveled home and began our life in Pittsburgh as a family
