It's a Date!

August 7th will mark a very important date in our family.  Not only will it be the exact date of our 6 month anniversary of welcoming the girls into our family, but it will be the date when they are dedicated at our church. 

Dedicating our girls to the Lord is so important to us.  He was the mastermind behind all of this.  He was the one who whispered in my ear and eventually Tim's ear about adoption long before we seriously considered it.  He was the one who led us down the path of decisions and events needed for us to be parents to these exact girls in this exact time.  He knew the children who would be perfect for us, and He knew we were what the girls needed in parents.  He chose us for each other.  How humbling it is to look back and see how this was HIS plan, and we are just his servants who chose to trust Him and let Him lead us into this amazing world of adoption.

Not only are we dedicating these beautiful creations to God, but we are letting our church family meet them and asking them to commit to helping us raise them.  We cannot do this alone.  God didn't design things that way.  We will be relying on our church leaders, Sunday school instructors, nursery workers, and many more adults to be modeling God's way and sharing His truth with these little girls.  We will be doing this at home to the best of our ability, but how powerful is it that they will have all of these amazing people at The Bible Chapel to reinforce lessons taught at home?  We are so grateful to have a church family that we can entrust and that has such a passion for children.
