New Beginnings

It has been a crazy, emotional week, but the dust is settling and revealing new changes. Today, Tim talked with our program director, and they discussed us switching from Kazakhstan to Colombia for adoption.

I can't believe that we didn't choose Colombia to begin with. When we look back at our notes, the only negatives were the long travel times and the fact that we couldn't choose a gender. When we looked at that, we just shook our heads, because gender isn't important to us, and the time in the country is just about as long as Kazakhstan!

Another negative is now in the mix. Recently referrals have slowed down from Colombia, and that means we will have to wait about three years for a child. We laugh when we think about that though, because we were prepared to wait that long for twins anyways!

We are going to pray about it and discuss it more over the weekend and call our program director on Monday to finalize our decision. But I have a feeling that I need to brush up on my Spanish! Colombia...we might be heading your way for our first baby!
