We arrived in Bogota safe and sound. Although, I decided to make my entrance into Colombia a little more memorable by gracefully falling down the steps getting off of the airplane. I was just testing the Colombian hospitality I have heard about, and it rings true - nearly five Colombian workers flew to my aid!
We are looking forward to traveling to Monteria tomorrow. Our flight leaves at 3:20, so we are hoping to make it to our hotel before the Super Bowl starts. Of course, we might make it in...finding where to watch it is another story!
Pray for safe travels, and pray for my health. I have been dealing with a sore throat.
Monteria, here we come!
So excited for you guys (and a little jealous). Monteria was very dead of Sundays but there was a pizza place (it was yummy) across from the park that had TV's..might be able to catch the game there. OMG, have fun and can't wait to hear about tomorrow and see the pics. Thanks again so much for bringing the pics down. One more day until you meet your precious girls...
ReplyDeleteI can just picture them running to you to help. Wait till you have the children with you, they help even more. Everyone was so wonderful in Colombia. Enjoy your time and food! Hopefully you can find a TV for the game. Go Steelers!!!! Can't wait to see and here about meeting the girls.

I'm also jealous that you get to go to Monteria! You will LOVE it! The hotel staff is amazing!! The park is huge with a playground, monkeys & a sloth ( my favorite!). The people are SO nice! The pizza place Deanna mentioned is neon green & played '80s music when we were there :-). There is a mall there for shopping, but also some independently owned shops that were great for buying gifts. Can't wait to follow your journey...congrats!! Looking forward to seeing a family picture :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah! Looking forward to following your journey! All the best!! Can't wait to see you and your kids soon ;)
ReplyDeleteI know Deanna & Jennifer....we can't wait to "be there again" through their photos and stories. My Hannah is just GREEN WITH ENVY....she actually cried to go back...you have to have been to Monteria to understand I guess....Maya & Sofia are excited to see picture of the girls with their Mommy & Daddy. Maya keeps saying that "they will be so happy to see them and so glad they came" :)
ReplyDeleteLove & prayer to Tim & Ginny & the little sweeties
